August Wrap Up

Image
Hello Lovelies! Sorry this didn't come out on Monday, I had a back-to-school thing and then I went to the zoo with my friend. So, this was going to be a different topic and then I looked at my calendar and realized it was the last day of August. So you will get it next week. Either way, let's get started! Life • Bullet Journaling. I mentioned this in my July wrap-up. I tried it out for all of July and the beginning of August, but I just couldn't do it. I became very busy with my book, school preparations, and other stuff. I kinda just forgot about it. • I began a regular work out regimen. Now, being a writer, I spend most of my time on the computer. When I was little, I was incredibly active. And when I was incredibly active, I was very healthy (despite being allergic to the entire world). So I started a workout modeled after The Arrow. I found it on Nerd Fitness, a website with fandom-themed workouts. This is the one I took inspiration from. I didn'

Why A Writer's Desk is Never Clean

Image
As writers, we find that our desks aren't clean at all. No, scratch the desks — our  rooms  aren't clean. We have piles everywhere — whether they're discarded drafts, notebooks that have been filled until they overflow, or discarded food boxes, our work is scattered around. Why shouldn't it be? We are planning out worlds and lives of people who don't exist. What use is having all that information if you can't have one wall mapping out your country's government and have another wall filled with the protagonist's likes and dislikes, right? But we should be proud of it. We had to put in work to get it that messy. But as messy as it is, it could be cleaner. What? Did she just say what I think she said? Yes, I did. We should make our desks cleaner. Now, before you all go crazy and start screaming "SHE'S A WITCH, BURN HER!" , allow me to explain. We can still have all our stuff easy to grab, but how about instead of layin

Blogging Is Hard

Image
You guys are probably getting very, very annoyed with my constant “I’M SO SORRY I HAVEN’T POSTED” openings, but I really am sorry. Blogging is difficult for me. I’m not a very organized person, and I’ve tried to change that but it is very hard to change something that is so embedded in my personality. I really just find other things that capture my attention, or I have to work, or (since I’m an only child) I have to clean the house or something. And school is starting up soon, so there’s probably going to be even less posting. But I want to. I want to write blog posts and I want to post them regularly (I’m thinking every Monday). On this topic, what kind of posts should I do? I want to do writing posts, travels, updates on my book, but should I do lifestyle posts or stuff like that? I have the Nightly Thought posts, but I haven’t made one in a while. But in all seriousness, you guys are why I’m doing this. I want to connect with people like me, writers and nerds and ou

Quick Book Post!

Hello everyone, this is not my main post for this week. First off, I am so sorry I've been so busy and I've completely forgotten about the blog. Second off, this is why I'm posting this tiny little thing: I am doing a Q&A that will be posted along with my real post on Saturday. If you guys have any questions for me (be it on my life, writing process, or book itself) leave it in the comments, and I will include those in the post. ~Olivia Ann
